Reiki for animals

Reiki is a natural harmonization system that uses universal life energy (ki) to address physical and mental imbalances. Simply put, it harmonizes body and mind.
Since Reiki is a universal energy, treatments are aimed at all living beings. In the case of animals, which is my primary focus, treatments often address imbalances related to eating disorders, emotional issues, behavioral problems, or rejection of contact with humans, their species, or their herd. These issues are often caused by human ignorance of the animal's needs or sometimes because of mistreatment. Imbalances in KI can also lead to rejection by other herd members, resulting in social or coexistence problems within the herd.
Most of the time, issues arise from humans' lack of understanding of their pet's actual needs.
It is common for domestic pets to experience energetic imbalances because they are not given the freedom to make their own decisions.
Reiki is a natural harmonization system that helps release energy blockages, allowing energy to flow freely and restoring balance. It is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that can be performed with or without physical contact.
It is incredibly fascinating to see how traumatized or highly fearful animals, as well as wild animals, often develop a stronger and faster connection.

In the case of animals, their response to Reiki differs from that of humans. They respond intuitively and positively because they are much more sensitive and perceptive than humans.
Reiki helps them maintain their health and balance.
For chronic illnesses or long-term treatments, Reiki serves as a complementary therapy, helping to reduce the toxicity levels of medications in vital organs and mitigating their side effects.
It is also beneficial for supporting their recovery from surgical procedures or during long-term treatments.
When it comes to treating animals, it is crucial for the owner or caregiver to understand that the animal decides whether they want to receive Reiki. They will set the pace of the session, choose the spot where they feel most comfortable in their home or shelter, determine the duration of the session, and how it will be conducted.
It is essential to respect the animal's decision.
Many clients ask me if a Reiki session for animals is comparable to one for humans. I always give the same answer: in a human Reiki session, the person tends to question the process—Will this work? Will I feel anything? Am I being fooled? Does this work or not? Unfortunately, humans often doubt the outcome, whether it is positive or not, even before it happens. They seek quick results, but that's not how Reiki works.
And inevitably, the word placebo effect comes up. The greatest challenge for humans is their own mind, which often conditions the therapy and its outcome.

For animals, none of this applies. They don't use their minds; instead, they rely on a much more powerful organ—their heart. They act with unconditional love and respect, without questioning anything.
Animals are guided by the energies they feel in the moment. If they want to accept it, they do, and if not, it's perfectly fine—no judgment involved. I absolutely love this attitude in the animal world; it fascinates me, and every day they teach me something new.
Love and respect for all animals should be ingrained in the human DNA, and we would have a more respectful, educated, and tolerant society.
